The Middle Market for Commercial Finance 2001-2003 (BIS Shrapnel)
Commercial
finance slumps.
The commercial finance sector is at its weakest for five years as demand
for truck and car finance falls heavily.
Mr Mike Beder said he expected the market for motor vehicles to recover
slightly over the next two years. The agriculture, construction and earth-moving
markets have also weakened recently. "Links with banks are becoming
more important in targeting clients with two-thirds of respondents choosing
to use their own banks (or their related finance companies) as their first
source of funding..."
