In 2004, Matthew was appointed a Director of Honeyguide. Matthew has over 15 years’ experience across the alternative investments universe during which time he conducted intensive studies of value driven investment disciplines.

Matthew was most recently co-chief investment officer of PAI, the alternatives investment division of the Unicredito banking group.

During Matthew's university career he was national winner of the Nedbank - Old Mutual Budget Competition, generally awarded to South Africa's most outstanding commerce graduate. Matthew was also awarded one of South Africa's four Fulbright Scholarships in 1981. His graduate research into interest and exchange rate determination in South Africa became widely used both in university teaching curricula and in the determination of subsequent monetary policy in South Africa.

Matthew is involved in an operational role within the business and has responsibility for the future strategic direction of Honeyguide and its subsidiaries.
