The research
techniques and approaches Mike has utilised include customer retention
and employee commitment research, tracking, research, usage and attitude
studies, member surveys, market sizing, market intelligence, new product
development and mystery shopping.
While Mike's expertise is mainly in quantitative research, he has undertaken
numerous qualitative assignments over the years. His experience in this
area includes business-to-business research and takes in techniques ranging
from customer focus groups (including children) to face-to-face depth
interviews with senior executives.
Mike is presently vice-chair member of the New South Wales Division committee of the Australian Market & Social Research Society (AMSRS). He is also a member of the Qualitative Recruiters Group (QRG), a special interest group of the society. Mike served on the 2005 and 2007 AMSRS Conference committees and has Qualified Practising Market Researcher (QPMR) status. He is also a member of the US-based Marketing Research Association (MRA) and has Professional Researcher Certification (PRC).
